i laid down the drugs and alcohol and picked up the tools of a 12 step program. it is only by God's grace that i am clean and sober today. looking back, i have had a rather easy time of it, considering the shape i was in, and the circumstances of my arrival. i chalk that up to my higher power, and the tools i have learned to use in recovery. my journey is not over...in many ways it is just beginning. it is a new way of life, that i am learning to live one day at a time.
