letting go...letting God...
go figure...that it is a real simple thing...i am the one that complicates the hell out of it! when i try and hang on to "my rights", or "my way"...it always makes for drama and chaos...even where my intentions seem to be good...ha! just letting go a lot today...it is God's world, and this one is just gonna stay out the way...and do what God puts in front of me to do today...am doing well; living in the day...sobriety is wonderful...i am powerless over everything today...and it is wonderful! i don't have to try to fix anyone or anything...just be where i am...and do the dishes!

I can get real crazy real fast when I allow anything other than God to control me.
The only one we should allow to control our thoughts and actions is Almighty God. When we give power to others, we are not taking responsibility for ourselves. When we were children, out of necessity, we were dependent upon others for food and shelter, but mostly we needed love and guidance. Sometimes children are not given these necessities and are forced to find their own way in a cruel and ungodly world. As we grow older, our own will harder and toughened by life’s circumstances, we are told that to survive and live happily in this life we must become child-like in our spirits and look to a power greater than ourselves, and turn our will and life over to that. At this point it is very difficult to trust anyone. In the end, however, whether I allow others to control me or I try to do the job myself, the results are similar—disaster and unmanageability is always there waiting around the corner.
Moment by moment, I will try to become willing to allow control of my will to go back to God who is able to see and know all things.
