Be slow to speak, and quick to listen.
The tongue is full of deadly poisons. We are warned by Gods word many times to control what we say. Words are sinful when used as weapons to hurt someone, or to try and control them or their actions. You can never take back what has already been spoken. You can ask for forgiveness, but the damage is already been done. Many times all another really needs is for us to really listen.
Moment by moment, I will think long and hard before I allow anything to come out of my mouth. I will listen with my ears, but I will hear with my heart.
